Stuffed

Thanksgiving 2011 was our first Thanksgiving as a family. Thanksgiving day we went to Aunt Tammy's in Nixa and spent the day eating and visiting. Wade was a wild man he was at the head of the table he enjoyed eating, drinking his juice and screaming. His is so loved on the Harper's side such a spoiled little guy. Friday we had several of our friends over at our house. Nick smoked a ham, and fried a turkey. Everyone else brought sides it was a lot of food! It was a great time love having our friends over. Saturday we were lazy we all took a long nap! Than we ran over to my grandma's for another feast. Once a gain Wade was a wild man into everything. Sunday we just stayed home in our jammies and played. He is starting to stand up from sitting he can take a few steps before falling. He looks like a little drunk man trying to walk. He gets so excited it is too precious. He also has a temper Nick and I just look at each other sometimes like "what is happening to our baby" I'm sure he will be up and running crazy in no time. We are excited for Wade's 1st birthday and Wade's 2nd Christmas in a few weeks!
 Happy Holidays!

Like Father Like Son!

Can you believe my baby boy is almost the big ONE?! 2011 as flown by...! It's crazy how much Wade has grown and learned in 12 short months! He is such a handsome little guy he has been cute since the day he arrived! I see his daddy in him more and more each day. He looks like him he has his attitude and he has his appetite! He jabbers and giggles like his daddy. He can click his tongue, drink from a straw, climb onto the couch. He only wants "real" food he loves pasta, greens beans, bananas just about everything. Like his daddy he loves sweets! Nick always thinks he needs a cake or pie after supper! "My mom always had dessert" he tells me. Well I grew up with a diabetic father so no sweets in our house ever! I can see I'll have to start making desserts for my boys!

Wade also has learned to say "NO NO" and shake his head back and forth. He does his a lot in the morning when I trying to get him awake and dressed. Much like his daddy does when I try to get him up! These next few weeks will be full of family and friends. I am very excited to take Wade to see Santa and see all the lights!

This week as been a good one for my hubs. He has been hunting for the Lawrence Co. Trophy deer since bow season started! Finally Wednesday night he got him! Wade and I were eating dinner when he flew in the door "WOOOOHOO! DADDY GOT A DEER GET THE CAMERA!!" Another one for the wall!

Harper Est. 2011

So my sister-in-law Erin has forced me to do a blog! So here we go....Here is a little bio of myself. I am 28 years young I have a 11 month old son named Delbert Wade Harper. He is the joy of my life. I couldn't ask for a more perfect baby boy! I am a newlywed of 3 1/2 months to Nicholas Wade Harper. I work as a Patient Service Rep for the Missouri Rehabiltation Center in Mt. Vernon, MO. I also go to college one night a week my goal is to get my Bachelors in Healthcare Administration. My life is very busy, but it's great!

The story of how my family started...One cold January night my friend Megan decided we needed a girls night. We were headed to Monett, but decided to stop in Pierce City at Freda Mae's to visit with her friend Nick that had just moved up here from Texas. Good thing we stopped I met Nick, his friend Ryan, and his friend Matt. Matt was a fellow graduate of Mt Vernon High Class of 2001! Ever since then Nick and I have been together. We have been through a lot together in just 3 1/2 years. May of 2010 I found out I was pregnant we were happy, scared, all the emotions you can think of. I had a great pregnancy, but an awful labor. We created such a happy adorable baby (not sure how the heck we got so lucky) Becoming a mother has changed the way I feel about other children, mothers, fathers, almost everything. To have someone that is yours and always will be yours is very emotional and scary. I often cry at night just thinking about Wade getting older that he will never be this size again. I know it's dumb motherhood changes you so much... and you'll never know what that feeling is until you have a child. After I had Wade 2 weeks later was Christmas Day I woke up around 9:00 am very tired. I walked in our dining room Nick said "Get my lighter out of my jean pocket" I looked at him like why are asking me to do that. I did.. there was something in there but it wasn't a lighter it was a ring! I just started crying He asked me to marry him. Very sweet I think I said "are you sure you want to marry me" lol! Anyways I had my dream wedding at the river with all my family, and friends. Cowboy boots, beer, spring river, pie it was the best! Now that I'm married have a growing boy life is getting better! So excited to share my life with my friends and family!
